He is considered to the progentor of the American Family and had spelled his name Brailley. He was a Welshman and was supposed to have come with 2 brothers on an English ship to America. He moved from Portsmouth, RI., to Rochester, MA. He was a Quaker. Son of Roger Braley and wife Roger Braley (?) He is buried in the Family Cemetery in North Rochester, MA.
