He was born in Republic CO. and died and is buried in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita, KS. He graduated with honors from Belleville High School in 1927. Attended an Electrical School in Valapariso, IN. He moved to Wichita in 1941 and for 15 years before he died he was employed by Boeing Airplane CO., the main part of the time as a Supervisor. He was a member of Brotherhood Presbyterian Church, Sunflower Masonic Lodge #86, Supervisors Club, The Boeing Band and VFW Band. He had Masonic Services at the graveside. He had two daughters and a son-Janice Marie, Emma Katherine and Duane Ralph.

Claire was born in Belleville KS. She graduated from Belleville High School with honors in 1929. She was a frequent visitor to the Swenson farm during the 1930's while she was working in Kansas City, MO. Many times she would be there at Christmas time as her Birthday comes the day after Christmas. She was one Swede's favorite cousins. She married Ken Hall, whom she met in Kansas City while he was in Dental School and he became a Navy Dentist and they traveled to many different places in the world. Ken retired from the Navy at a very high rank. They had a Son, Douglas and a daughter, Heather. Heather has a daughter, Mackenzie.
