Galton Arthur Galton
(1874-1944) Arthur immigrated to America in 1887/1890 from Lodz, Poland to New York City and was processed at Ellis Island under the name of Isaac Golitsky - changed his to Arthur Galton. Arthur left home because his parents wanted him to become a Rabbi. Freida helped her husband in the clothing business in Florence, Alabama. She was Jewish and practiced her faith. Arthur died of lung cancer, having been a heavy smoker, and Freida is thought to have died of a stroke. Arthur is buried in Bayonne, NJ. and Frieda in Rockaway, NY. Lawrence Galton
(1913- ) Lawrence graduated
from Columbia University in New York and Rutgers University, New Jersey. He became a noted
Author and Journalist. He served in the Army Signal Corps in world War II. Barbara
attended a private school in London at the age of 16 and spent her summers in Salsburg,
Austria studying dancing. She was a former editor of Coronet Magazine and a long time
volunteer and sponsor of AA. They had two sons, Christopher and Jeremy. Jeremy had
two children Bill and Catherine.
Christopher (Kit)
Galton (1945- ) Kit and Charlotte both graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans and moved to Tucson, Arizona. She graduated from Tulane with a Masters in Social Work. Kit's Degree was in Theater and he worked in all phases of theater in Tucson. Charlotte worked at the University Hospital. Kit eventually went on to further his education in the field of Psychology and Counseling. Sean was born in Tucson. Shortly after they moved to the East Coast and maintained residency in both North Carolina and currently live in Surfside Beach SC. Juliet was born in Aiken, South Carolina. The following paragraphs and pictures are son and daughter of Kit and Charlotte Galton Sean Galton (1975-2004 ) Sean graduated from Aiken High School and has a degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University. Currently is employed in Columbia, SC.
This in February 2003 and Sean is working as a Missionary in Lima Peru, however because it is summer, his MTW team assisted the San Pablo church with a month long Vacation Bible Church. Then in appreciation to everyone involved in VBS, the team was given the opportunity to recharge their batteries with a trip to Arequipa, the second largest city in Peru. The trip took about 18 hours the group Sean was with spent three days of a spiritual retreat at a locale next to a river that flows down from two snow covered volcanoes. In his smaller group were 3 highschool/college-age students, all fairly new in the faith. Sean indicated it was rewarding to see them grasp new truths for their lives.
Juliet Galton (1981- ) Juliet graduated from High School in Surfside Beach SC. and currently is attending college at College of Charleston.
