Morin Wilfred Joseph
Morin Son of Wilfred and Cynthia Morin Wilfred Joseph
Morin (1919-1983) Wilfred graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1936. During his senior year he worked 8 hours every night at the machine shop at the the United Iron Works. After graduation he enrolled and completed a drafting course with ICS. He was in the engineering department of United Iron Works in Pittsburg. He was there until June 1941 when he went to work at Kansas City Structural Steel. In August he and Joyce were married. He returned to Pittsburg in 1942 to work at United Iron again. In May of 1944 he was drafted into the Army and was sent to Tyler Texas for basic training. He finished in October, had a short leave and was on his way to Europe before Thanksgiving. He was in the 7th Army, 36th Division, 142nd Infantry as a light machine gunner. He was awarded the Bronze Star. The European War was over in May 1945 and he was sent back to receive his discharge in 1946. He started working at the United Iron Works at night doing engineering in Ore Reclamation's Pittsburg office where was designing automatic handling equipment for Dickey Clay Brick and Tile. He went to work for Spencer Chemical Co., still working nights. In July 1950 he went to work for Ore Reclamation in Picher OK. Through out the years he started buying stock and at the time of his death he was the principal stockholder and President of the company. In 1982 he was diagnosed with Multiple Myloma at Mayo Clinic. He died the next year at his son's home in Austin TX. The funeral was at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg KS with Fr. Ken Melango officiating. He is buried in Highland park Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS.

William (Bill)
Joseph Morin (1950 -) Bill attended schools in Pittsburg, graduating in 1968. He went to University of Kansas where he received his degree in Accounting. After graduation he married Sue McDow and they moved to Austin TX where he attended law school at the University of Texas. While in law school he taught accounting at Saint Edward's University. After he graduated Bill and Sue divorced. He had met Katherin White in law school and they formed a law practice " Morin and White". they later married and had two children, Joseph Chase born 1982 and Michael trace born 1985. Both boys are in Pittsburg High School. In 1990 they moved to Pittsburg when Bill joined the law firm, Wilbert and Towner. Kay graduated from Texas University El Paso and entered law school in Austin and graduated in 1975, and practiced law until Chase was born. Her parents were Harry White (deceased) and Doris Pecot. Doris in living in El Paso. Kay has a sister Mary, living in Kansas City and brothers, Steve who lives in Pittsburg and Johnny who lives in Dallas. Scott Allan Morin
(1954- ) Scott attended schools in Pittsburg, graduation in 1972. He attended one semester at University of Kansas, then returned to Pittsburg for two years. He went to Austin and entered the University of Texas for two years then returned to Pittsburg to finish his degree in Accounting. He started traveling for Levi Strauss with headquarters in Pittsburg. He and Nancy were married at Bishop's home. After a couple of years he would go to Ore Reclamation and work with his father but after his father died the company was sold. Scott then opened an office in Pittsburg for Bates Bearings. In 1999 he had a heart attack and had two valves replaced and one bypass. While he was still recuperating he and his brother Bill decided to buy the Pittsburg Western Sizzlin' restaurant. they have two children, Austin Allan, born 1981 and Abigial June, born 1983. Austin is a student at Pittsburg State and Abby is a Junior at Pittsburg High. Nancy was born and raised in Austin. Her parents are deceased and is helping Scott in the restaurant. They live in the house that Scott's parents built and where he grew up.
