Swede's 74th Birthday

Swede's Winter hobby
watching the Jayhawk's on TV. This banner is an early birthday present hanging by
the sport's bar while he enjoy's the games. The birthday cards on the right are always the
greatest. I just have to tell about the blue and white in front. It says
"Celebrating the day you had to walk eight miles through the snow to get born",
and on the inside Debbie writes, (They forgot "uphill both ways") which all goes
back to a line my kids will never forget I hope was that I would tell them how, in the
days of my youth, I had to sometimes walk to school (uphill and through deep snow).
So what do you know but Hallmark has a card that relates to those moments.
Birthdays are great and Keep Those cards coming Kids.

Red Lobster Restaurant with our favorite waitresses celebrating Swede's birthday on Sunday, a day we go out for lunch after church and most often to the Red Lobster
Christmas 2001

Not going to name all these in pictures above but this is just a sample of family having fun at Christmas

On the left is Marge Holtom-Charneil Swenson and Virginia Swenson- Center is Courtny Lane and her NSYNC cd's. On the right is Chris Lane, Courtny and Adriana Lane.

After Presents and Dinner the family usually play some games, this year we played "Battle of the Sexes" and the pictures above pretty tell the story, the gals won the first game, the men the second and time ran out before the rubber game could be completed but the gals were ahead so they naturally claim victory. That's ok since the famous battle cry is always "wait till next year"

Cousins Kris and Brady on the right-Mike-Brady-Blake-Debbie-Aimee-Kris in the center and just one of the many pictures taken while packages were being opened on the right.

Not sure what Mike is saying but must be something about what's in his hand. Pete Grim, Debbie's main squeeze.

So here's the Photographer opening his present last and the many admirers. This was another very nice Swenson Family Christmas. Scott was not able to be with us this year but called and everyone talked to him so he was with us in spirit. And as our young adults are growing up who knows where there ambitions may take them but we try to enjoy each year that comes our way. So until next year at this time Merry Christmas to all.
