Activities-2006

This gang of 4 Foster's and Swenson's are surly up to no good, taking pictures
like this but what can one do when there are only the four of us.
So it's still 2005 but we are at the Ramada Inn Downtown waiting
for the choice of entertainment to help us bring in 2006. The
cameraman should have smiled but think he was concentrating on getting
us all in the pic!!!!

Saw these two lovely people, Tim and Margaret Carkuff
so decided to take their pic also.

Ah!! We got someone to take a pic of the four, Really had
the Grand Ballroom fixed up nice albeit not everyone was
to the nines for this Gala celebration!!!

This is our entertainment, Kelly Hunt a very very
good Blues and Jazz singer and the gentleman
was an equally acomplished Harmonica player, all
the way from Washington DC, she said. She had
a number of other backup musicians, including a very
good tenor Saxophone. 

We went up to see the Ball Drop in Times Square and then went back down
to have a Champagne toast and one dance into the New Year 2006, which of
course it is everyone's hope that somehow it will be better than 2005

TSgt. Mike Money took his Uncle Mike Swenson into his office
which is C-135 Tanker of the 190th Refueling wing of the Kansas Air
National Guard.  They were refueling a B-2 Stealth bomber.  What
a thrill that must have been and glad we could show it to you on
our web site.

Our Spring Vacation-Denver

Heading down to Manitou Springs, a place Virginia visited with her parents during the summers of her youth.

getting the home organized, Brian is looking for work and Cary, Susan's daughter

King Pong-2006

Blake becomes the gracious Ex-Champion as he
hands off the Trophy he has held for two years to
a very serious Brady, who will reign until probably
at Christmas time there shall be another challenge.

This is the Championship Match between Brady Swenson and Michael Money, Michael
put up a good battle but lost  in a best 3 games out of 5.

A classic matchup this year was between two former holders of this crown, The Swenson Brothers,
Mike and Scott.  Mike prevailed only to lose in a hotly contested match with Michael Money.
On the left Kristen brought Avery Lyn Money down to see her Dad play in the Championship
game.  This is Avery's first King Pong match. 

President's Outstanding Academic Excellence Award
Courtny Lane

Congratulations to Courtny for being one of 10,  5th Graders to achieve this award
for having maintained a 3.8 grade point average and other achievements.  The students
had to be nominated by a teacher for the award, The proud Mother, Aimee is with Courtny
on the right.  Below is also the letter of recognition signed by President George W. Bush.
Those smart genes are still performing well from our fairer gender family members. Keep
up the good work Courtny as you move on to the 6th Grade and beyond.

The Rehearsal Dinner for Brady and Alicia-May 26-2006

A grand party was held at Aboud's the night before the wedding which was given by
Mike and Charneil Swenson

Summer Trip with the Foster's

We took a quick trip around  Kansas with our good friends Jim and Gloria Foster
and Jim's Grandaughter Heather from Arkansas.  The pictures that follow depict fun they had in Dodge City.
We went to Scott State Lake north of Scott City and the Momument Rocks in Gove County, then on
to Hays to the Sternberg Museum and last to Salina and the Rolling Hills Zoo west of   there.  For some reason
I  don't have any pics of Hays and Salina.

The picture on the right also shows Mike holding Avery Money and
beside him is Courtny Lane all September birthdays so
he asked if they would help him blow the candles out.  The
pictures that follow show some of the activities of the day although
I didn't get any on my camera of any of us swimming, sometimes in
the rain even but then the thunder came so the rest of the day
was indoor activities.

Halloween Pics from Debbie

The flowers were on the altar at Swede and Virginia's church on
Sunday October 15, 2006 in honor of their 33rd  Wedding Anniversary
October 19, 2006.  Another honeymoon trip is planned this year
to Tan-Tar-A at the Lake of  the Ozarks and pictures of the trip will
follow.

We had a great time but a lot of walking to the eating places so we let the hotel take us to the Lake
front restaurant on Friday night.  And I let them take me to the Oaks and back every day.  Only
had one par but had some nice shots and it was truly a beautiful time in the Missouri Ozarks.

The following two pics are from Cary Wagner, Susan Fox's daughter, and she gave permission for
me to put them on the Web Site.  She met this young man on a Colorado
Mountain Club hiking trip October 21and says it was "love at first sight". Jeff Tamburro is the gentleman
with Cary, born and raised in Philadelphia and has lived in Colorado for 15 years.   Sounds as if
there is another wedding coming up.
